The first track is the first piece on American Landscapes, a new collaborative album by Dutch composer Jozef Van Wissen and renowned film director and musician Jim Jarmusch. It was recorded in 2022 by the Duo. ‘Cleveland’ is part of three dark, long-form and hypnotic drone pieces they reflect the current state of America. Its not only America, it really never was and for the rest of us, there’s the human and climate wars ravaging our planet to be proud of, it’s no joke and as I reach this 100th mix milestone, I leaned onto a more brooding side of my collection today. Light fades, it’s 7pm, 28 celsius. It’s the new normal.
