(Trascau Fortress) also known as the Fortress of Trascău, it's a medieval fortification situated in the Apuseni Mountains of Romania (ancient Transylvania). Established in the 13th century, it offers a glimpse into Romania's medieval past. A photograph of Trascau graces the interior of the Emperor's debut album 'In the Nightside Eclipse'.
(Death On The Pale Horse) Gustave Doré's Death on The Pale Horse. Engraving, 1865. Death rides into the world on a pale horse. He is the fourth knight of the apocalypse. Hell follows him. A section of the engraving was used for Emperor's debut LP 'In The Nightside eclipse' and self-titled debut EP.
(Blood Music Emperor Complete Works) put together by now defunct Finnish label Blood Music, this stunning, limited box set was released in 2017 and covered the entire collective work of legendary band Emperor. Called by a fan as the 'box set to end all box sets', it comprised 24 x 12'' vinyl records and cost €700 originally. Many sets still being sold in Discogs.
